The US District Court for the District of Columbia has issued a summon to Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman for a lawsuit filed by Saad Al Jabri accusing the Prince of sending of hit squad to Canada to try and kill him.
In 1720, the foundation of the family started with Al Saud. From there the house saw three phrases:
• Emirate of Diriyah, the First Saudi State (1744–1818)
• Emirate of Nejd, the Second Saudi State (1824–1891)
• Third Saudi State (1902–present) which evolved into Saudi Arabia in 1932
At this moment the house has 15000 members with their estimated family fortune of $1.4 Trillion dollars. The family fortune is flourished with state oil reserves, years of revenues and Saudi Aramco which is one of the most valuable companies in the world. Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund also owns 5% of ride sharing app Uber.
Saudi Arabia is the biggest weapon buyer in the world. In 2018, they spent 67.6 USD for weapon buying.
Their wealth is hugely wasted by their expensive life style.

Controversy:
In 2017, two hundred and eight people were called for investigation of $100 Billion dollar of corruption. Of them, 201 were in detention in Ritz-Carlton hotel for weeks. At least 11 princes and dozens of government ministers were arrested including Prince Alwaleed bin Talal and Prince Mutaib bin Abdullah who was considered a potential rival for the Saudi throne.
In 2018, journalist Jamal Khashoggi was murdered in Saudi embassy in Istanbul. Saudi authorities were globally criticised. Though many sources blamed the authorities, Saudi denied their involvement and arrested 18 suspects and arranged investigation.
In January 2020, the United Nation blamed MBS with accusation of hacking of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos’s phone. Saudi authority denied the accusations.
Saudi is being accused of improvising women’s rights activists. This caused much criticism for them.
Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau asked to release the activists. Saudi Arabia expelled the Canadian ambassador from Riyadh. They froze trade and ordered all Saudi students to return home.
Saudi Arabia was again fired with accusations when Lebanese prime minister went missing and resigned from his post.
Saudi authorities are also criticised for poor treatment towards workers.

The shifting of power is always seen in the family. King Faisal was killed by his nephew prince Faisal. The reason was not cleared. But theories suggested that he wanted revenge for the death of his brother who had been killed by Saudi security agents. MBS was announced Crown Prince in 2017 and Muhammad Bin Nayef previously declared Crown Prince, lost his tittle.
With unbelievable wealth, lavish life style, expensive purchases the Royal family enjoys outstanding life. But their internal conflicts, power hungry attitude gifts them many betrayals.
